•           Seminars on various related topics.
•           Own weekly in-house video bulletin.
•           Producing own short films of 1- 5 minutes duration on different topics.
•           Outdoor projects to focus on participatory learning and group dynamism.
•           Making of profiles and promotional documentaries. 
•           Debates and discussions on various socially relevant issues with respect to the  role of media.
•           Quiz, games etc. to test general knowledge and awareness of students.
•           Film club activity- screening of landmark Indian as well as foreign films.
•           Excursions to the picturesque surroundings of Pune to inspire new ideas.
•           Students can have their own independent research done on various issues. Also each student can choose his/her own subject of interest to study politics, cinema, sports etc.

 

Facilitation methodology

The teaching methodology followed is of various types:
Visiting Faculty
The academicians who are experts in their own field would be teaching various subjects which would give in depth knowhow of the subject to the ISBJ students.
Guest lectures
Renowned film and media professionals will visit MIT campus to share their practical knowledge and experience and guide the budding aspirants. 
Participative learning
Students are encouraged to participate in the sessions by preparing on particular topics.
Workshops
Various workshops are held for the participants of the programme. Panels of experts in their respective areas of work are invited and they conduct hands-on interactive sessions with the participants.
Projects

Participants will undertake field / studio projects. These projects would be related to practical aspects of television news and programmes.
